What we collect
- Account basics: email, display name and an optional general home area (city or neighbourhood text only).
- Dog profiles: name, age, size, energy, typical walk length, pace and preferences you enter.
- Routes and walks: generated routes you save, completed walks, feedback tags and ratings.
- Start points you choose: used to build a route. Exact coordinates are never published on public cards.
- Product analytics: which features are used, with no coordinates, addresses, emails or free-text notes.
Location
We only request device location when you tap “Use my current location”. You can always type an address instead. Location is used to build routes and find trailheads and stops. Public meetups and community pins show a generalised area, never your exact start point or home address.
Who we share with
Mapping and place providers receive the coordinates needed to generate a route or find nearby places. OpenStreetMap data is queried for a small area around a route to find parks, paths, water and lighting. Payment processing for Plus is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details. We do not sell your data.
What other users can see
Your display name, dog name and details you deliberately publish (pinned strolls, place feedback, scheduled walks you make visible) can be seen by others. Saved routes, walk history, insights and exact start coordinates stay private to you. Opening someone else's public pin never reveals their route geometry or start point.
Your controls
- Export a copy of your data from Profile → Account.
- Delete your account and its data permanently from Profile → Account.
- Adjust notification and visibility defaults in your profile settings.
- Block or report other users from their walk or pin.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Short-lived place details are cached for a limited period and then deleted automatically. Deleting your account removes your profile, dogs, routes, walks, pins and feedback links.

For privacy questions or a data request, use the account section of your profile. We respond to access, correction and deletion requests as required by applicable law.
